Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of UPORTHOCON 2010, it is my privilege to welcome you to Allahabad for the 34th Annual Conference of U P Orthopaedic Association. Allahabad is a historical and religious city also known as ’Triveni’ at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati rivers where knowledge-seekers from across the world have gathered for centuries to quench their thirst of learning.

The theme of the conference is “Complications in Orthopaedic Surgery”. The aim is to frankly discuss the complications faced in our endeavor to treat orthopaedic patients, share experience and expertise in their management and look at existing and evolving strategies to prevent them. Not only would this be more satisfying personally for the patient and professionally for us, but would also help in reducing the escalating costs of healthcare.

While we will have workshops and invited lectures and case discussion, we would like to encourage free papers for UPORTHOCON 2010. I assure you that free papers will be given prime time for presentation. Please start looking at your data so that we can have a good number of quality presentations.

The conference will be held at M L N Medical College Allahabad. Located centrally 1.5 km from railway station, 5 Kms from airport. Allahabad is well connected by Train and Air and it offers accommodation to suit every pocket.

The weather will be pleasant with maximum temperature of 30 degree C and minimum of 25 degree C.
